ただ今編んでいます主人のセーター。今はこんな感じ。
The jumper for my husband which I’m knitting is like this.
使用糸はアイオナウールのナチュラルグレー。２コーンを買ったけど１コーン(５００g)で間に合いそうです。余りは私のセーターになるかなー♪
The wool I use is Iona wool, Natural Grey DK. I bought 2 corns, but 1 corn might be enough (500g). I may use the second corn for my own jumper! 🙂
使用針はJP４、５、６号。指定よりも指定よりも細めの針で、Mサイズに合わせて微調整しながら編んでいます
The needles I use are Japanese 4, 5 and 6. They are smaller needles which are recommended in the pattern, but I have to adjust the number of stitches for the size M jumper.
実はこの状態で放置する事約５ヶ月、、、。ブログに乗せて気合いが入ると良いなぁ。
To be honest, I haven’t knitted this jumper now for 5 months… I will push myself to continue with it by updating my blog.
去年の夏にスコットランドのアイオナ島で出会ったこの毛糸。島の羊の毛で作られています。いい感じに羊の脂が残っていて多少の羊臭がありますが、これはこれでたまらない。
When I went to Iona, Scotland, last summer, I found the wool. The wool is made by the sheep which live on the island. Some sheep oil is left in the wool, so you can smell it a little bit, but I like this.
この毛糸作りは数年前から始まった新しいプロジェクトらしく、私が行った時にはなかった色バリエが増えています！どれもくすみ感が素敵。黄色良いなぁ。

The project to make the original Iona wool started a few years ago. They have good colour variation which they didn’t have when I visited there. I like the yellow one.

アイオナ島は修道院が有名なちいさな島です。人口は１７５人(ウィキ調べ)。調べる前に絶対に羊の方が多いでしょってわかるくらい、羊だらけ。
Iona is a very small island and famous because of the monastery. The population is 175 people (by wikipedia), but you can understand when you go there that there are a lot of more sheep than people. Sheep, sheep, sheep…all over the place.

ちなみにお隣のマル島からフェリーで行くのが唯一のルート。そして、そのマル島のキャンプ場は最高でした。オススメです。
Incidentally the only route to get there is from the island of Mull. And the campsite on Mull was amazing. You should go there!
