Busy days…?

久々の更新になりました。
前回のブログが3月15日、、、放置しすぎ。
Long time no blog!
I haven’t written anything in ages…

この間に息子の誕生日、こどもの日、旦那の誕生日、、、
脳内アップデートは結構していたんですけど、ダメですね、なんだか時間がない。
漫画を読む時間はあるのに。笑
Since I last wrote an update, it’s been my son’s first birthday, Japanese boy’s day and my husband’s birthday… I updated a lot in my mind actually, but have had no time to blog.
Actually that’s not completely true, I did make time for reading Japanese cartoons on my iPad 😉

さて、肝心な編み物の話。
息子の1歳の誕生日にこれだけは！と思ってせっせとかぎ編みの、、、
I really wanted to finish this before my son’s birthday…

アクリルで編んだからかウネウネしちゃって、
ちょっと気にくわないけど、時間がないから良しとしました。
三角のも、ちくちく縫い縫いしましたよ。
もちろん旦那の誕生日にも再利用。
I used acrylic wool, so they are quite wonky.
Ummm… I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the end result but it became a bit of a rush to finish.
I made normal bunting as well.
Of course, I put them up for my husband’s birthday too.

息子に誕生日プレゼントとして急に思い立って編み出したカーディガン。
パターン通りなんだけど身幅が結構あって、
編み足して4歳くらいまで着れるかも？
I suddenly decided to knit this cardigan as a birthday present for my son.
It was the right size, but the body is quite wide.
I wonder if I keep extending it, can my son wear it until he is 4 years old…?

意外と好評だったのが、フェルトで作った誕生日のクラウン。
マジックテープを広めに付けたから1歳児から33歳児まで対応可。
The felt birthday crown I made had good reviews.
I sewed the Velcro in long strips, so it fits all head sizes between that of a 1 year old boy and 33 year old boy!

放置していた3ヶ月の間に、我が家では大きな決断をしていました。
あんまりまだ実感はないけど、忙しい夏になりそうです。
ふふふー♡
While not updating this blog for the previous 3 months, we made a big decision…

Lamb hat!

私としたことが、忘れていました、、、。
I forgot about the crochet project that I finished recently…

一週間前に編みました。
息子にLamb hat、3年ぶりのかぎ編みです。
未年生まれなので、どうしても今年中に編みたかった帽子。
I crocheted, for the first time in three years, a Lamb hat for my son.
I really wanted to make this because this year is the Chinese year of the sheep.

使用針は6.0mm, 使用糸はSIRDAR SNUGGLYのSnowflakeの631番cream。
6-12ヶ月用で2玉弱で仕上がりました。
The hook I used was 6.0mm, and the yarn I used was SIRDAR SNUGGLY Snowflake 631 cream.
The size is 6-12months and I used less than 2 skeins to complete it.

モフモフの手触りで、息子も気に入ってくれた様子。
これを被ってお出かけすると、何人もの方が立ち止まって息子に声をかけてくれました。
息子も笑顔で対応。
愛想良し。
The texture of the hat is soft like a cuddly teddy, so he likes it.
Whenever we go out shopping, a lot of people tend to stop to talk to my son!
He answers them with smiles 😉
He is always a happy chap!

この毛糸は間違えや目の粗さのごまかしに最適！
さらにザクザクとすぐに編めちゃうのに手が込んでいそうに見える！

This is one of the best yarns for cheating if you make mistake!
The pattern is easy and quick to make, although it looks like it is complicated!
I recommend making it.
耳をつける前だと、カリフラワー？白髪の大仏？そんな帽子をお探しの方にもオススメです。
If you are looking for a cauliflower or even a Buddha hat, this hat could be work, just without the ears!

かぎ編みはちょっと苦手でしたが、やっぱりこれはこれで楽しいなぁ。
ってかぎ編みの作品をググっております。
I thought I wasn’t good at crocheting, but I enjoyed it.
I’m googling more about crochet techniques now.
